Catch Up!

I must admit that blogging has been put on the back burner!  Trying to start my business, making sure to spend quality time with the kids and husband, keeping my house in order, and so on has eaten up all of my time lately!  We've been busy with school, field trips, tee ball, and doctors appointments, so below are some pictures to catch everyone up on what we have been doing the past two weeks!

Hunter's class took a field trip to the Children's Museum last week.  You're greeted with this bear as soon as you walk in, so before everyone took off, we got his class to take a picture!

Playing in the lifesize doll house!

Waving to mommy and daddy!  Brett took the day off and surprised Hunter on his field trip!  He was so happy we both were there!

 Exploring the jungle room!

What a good looking train conductor!  This is actually the front of a train they have built for the museum-it's hard to tell since the picture is so close up!

Mrs. Rachel-not a very good picture of Hunter, but this is his all time favorite teacher!  She is wonderful and because of her, I never worry about Hunter while he's at school!  You know the whole letting go thing us mommies go through! :)

Playing in the rocket ship!  NASA here we come!

Dressing up like the old days!

In the water room with boats and ducks!
Last stop was the puppet room!  It was a great field trip!  We tried to convince Hunter to ride home with us, but he just had to ride the bus!

Now going way back to Easter!  We went to church and then to Granna Viv's for an egg hunt and dinner!

My sweet Brody who currently has an ear infection!  Bless his heart!

Time for the egg hunt!  Ready. Set. Go.

 Hunter was so excited!

After Brody discovered two eggs with coins in them, he was done with the hunt!  He just walked all over the yard shaking these eggs!

And this is the only family photo we got!  Great one, huh?!

Brody goes for his eighteen month appointment tomorrow!  I can't believe he is that old! :'(  Guess what my next post will be?!

The Zebra's Stripe

I haven't quit blogging, I promise! I've been super busy creating my business, The Zebra's Stripe!!! I've been staying up until 2:00 a.m. trying to get a lot of things done, so blogging has been put on the back burner for the moment! I'm in the middle of creating my Etsy site, my facebook fan page is ready to go ( I haven't released it yet), and I've all ready received one huge order! Here are a few things I have been working on and why I haven't been able to blog lately! :)

The spring wreaths I created from the order! I thought they turned out really well. A few touch ups after I took these pictures and they were ready to go! Excuse my messy kitchen table in the first one- that one was created at 2:00 a.m. ha :) I'm now working on twelve wreaths for summer, fourth of July, and sports themed ones!
The mini diaper cakes! What a precious gift to give to an expecting mom or to take to the hospital when the baby arrives!
Mini diaper cake made with baby sock roses!
What mom expecting a little girl wouldn't love this! I know I would and no, I'm not expecting!
Washcloth candy and lollipops! These may look easy to make, but they're not! Those little washcloths come unrolled so easily and of course I'm a perfectionist, so if I didn't like how the finished product looked, I would start all over!
Containing two washcloth candies, this would be precious to use at a baby shower!
These would also be great for centerpieces/decor at a baby shower! Four washcloth lollipops that can match any theme!
Diaper cake- one tiered

I love this! It's a jungle out there!!! Two-tiered diaper cake I created for a customer!
And even though I have boys, I do know how to make girl stuff! :) Everyone that knows me well, knows this is right up my alley! For goodness sakes, my nickname in college was Miss Priss! I can't help that I like huge bows and tutus on little girls! :) This is a newborn tutu and the one below is an infant one!
Once everything goes live, I will put links to both sites on my blog! I'm excited and nervous all at the same time, so prayers are appreciated! Let me know what you all think!!!

My Own Etsy Shop!

After much prayer, encouragement, and faith, I've decided to open my own shop on Etsy! My friends and family have been telling me to do this and I'm finally taking their advice. I'm excited and nervous at the same time!

The product that truly set this all in motion! I made this diaper motorcycle for a friend who is expecting a little boy in March!

I made this sleeping diaper baby for my best friend who is expecting a baby girl in April!

So as you can tell, my shop will have diaper cakes, diaper cupcakes, diaper wreaths, diaper motorcycles, sleeping diaper babies, washcloth lollipops, etc! I will also have tutus and bows-even though I have boys, I absolutely love little girl stuff!

Wish me luck! I'll let you all know when the shop is up and running!

Fifteen Month Checkup...

Brody had his fifteen month checkup last week! As suspected, we still have a small fella- as I like to call him! He weighs 20 lbs 8 oz (5%) and is 32 inches long/tall (75%). Long and lean is what everyone calls him. I swear though, he eats more than anybody! Brett and I joke that he is going to eat us out of house and home! I'm just wondering why I don't have this gene?!

He is a walker now! He loved to crawl, so he was a little late with the walking business. He "runs" and squeals when Brett walks in the door from work! He starts screaming, "Da Da!"

Who's that in my window?! He loves playing with this house! His favorite words right now are da da, juice, ball, papaw, mama, and uh-oh! He's working on doggy and of course he has a million words in his own language!

Not another picture! He is currently obsessed with balls and toothbrushes. If he sees a ball anywhere at anytime, he is going to shout, "A ball!" He carries around three toothbrushes most of the time and he MUST have the toothpaste as well. Maybe he will play in the NFL or be a dentist?! He loves to play outside and drive his Mater. Thankfully its been warmer than usual for this time of year, so we've played outside quite a bit!

He's been quite fussy lately (not normal), but I think it's because he's trying to set a record for how many teeth you can get at one time! Every time I look in his mouth, I see a new one coming through. Tylenol and Motrin have been our best friends- I know it must be painful! The little stinker is into everything he shouldn't be- dog food and water, trash cans, toilets (we have to remember to keep the lid down), cabinets, drawers, etc. I have to keep a close eye on him, but I wouldn't trade it for the world!

I'm anxious to see how much he's grown and what he's doing at his next appointment. Time is flying by and I'm trying to cherish every moment- even the fussy ones because one day, when he's grown, I know I'm going to miss this!

I Put Ketchup On My Ketchup

Brody has a new love and it's for KETCHUP! We were eating lunch the other day and he kept pointing at my plate that had ketchup on it. I decided to put a dab of it on his tray and within three seconds it was gone!

He couldn't get enough of it! I don't know how many times I had to put a dab of it on his tray. So now when he eats something ketchup worthy, I give him some! I saw a shirt when we were on vacation in Myrtle Beach a few years ago that said, I put ketchup on my ketchup- I just might have to buy it for him this year! :)

A Lazy Weekend...

This is what we have been doing most of this weekend! Snuggling, watching movies, and a little bit of playing. Both boys haven't felt the greatest, Brody being the worst. We haven't really done much these past few weeks, but somehow it felt like we were going non stop!

Look at those cheeks and teeth! His poor chin is so raw from drool! He has two teeth coming in and he's not the best at teething!

He's such a happy baby-he's still a baby to me! You definitely know he's sick or teething when he's fussy.

We did go to the Bounce House with Katie, Connor, and Cooper before school started back. Brody enjoyed playing with the toys outside of the bouncy areas the most!

He did manage to get inside of one, although I think it was because of the balls. This kid is obsessed with balls. If he spots one, look out!

Hunter and Connor playing basketball. These two had the best time while we were there!

Flying down the big slide all by himself! As soon as I went to tell Katie, he would never go down it by himself, I turned around and down he came! Before, when we went, Brett and I would always have to go down with him. I guess he's growing into a bigger boy than I thought-makes me sad! :(

Our Thursday nights have also been busy. Brett and Matt play in a basketball league together, so Jess and I try to go with them. I don't think we are bringing them any luck because every time we've gone, they've lost.

We took Hunter fishing again. We took him to a friend's pond and the only thing Hunter caught was a worm-straight from the bait bucket! I was surprised he was in that dirt digging around in them, but I guess he is all boy! We decided to take him to the lake to see if he could catch anything since it was such a beautiful day! Warning-picture below isn't terrible, but if you have an extremely weak stomach, don't look!

And on our way there, Brett cut his finger with his pocket knife. He was cutting something off of a fishing pole and sliced right into it. I was driving and if you all could have seen the blood gushing out- still makes my stomach flip! So instead of heading to the lake, we headed to the doctor. Luckily, he didn't have to get stitches and they were able to use the glue.

Fishing round 2! It was colder and it started raining, so we had to end this trip with no fish caught as well. I guess we are going to have to wait until spring!

So we are back in the swing of things! Hunter is back at school and this month is career month or whatever you call it in preschool. A police officer came with his dog and Hunter thought it was the greatest thing! He told me he now wants to be a police officer when he grows up! A dentist came the next time, but Hunter is still set on being a cop! His mouth is stained blue from cupcakes! They had two birthdays in his class, so they had a cupcake at lunch and snack! He was definitely sugared up!

Hopefully the boys are on the mend and we have watched Sam a.k.a Transformers a million times this weekend! Hunter and I are getting ready to make Valentines Day cookies while Brett and Brody finish their nap! I hope everyone has a great week!
