Five Years

This past Friday, Brett and I celebrated our five year anniversary! I can't believe it has been five years!!! We had plans to go out of town, but then life happened! We had two sick boys-Hunter had a fever of 100.5 and Brody is going to the doctor today-I'm thinking a double ear infection :(
Luckily, we had gone out on Wednesday night as part of our celebration to the Melting Pot!

As we sat down at our nice, quiet, cozy table (in the words of the hostess), we found this card! All of the staff had signed it and wished us a happy anniversary. It was a nice surprise! We did the full meal which included cheese fondue, salad, meat (shrimp, lobster tail, chicken, sirloin, steak, and pork) with vegetables, and chocolate fondue!

Our ying yang chocolate fondue-half milk chocolate, half white chocolate! The dessert was my favorite!

The dessert plate: rice krispy treats, brownies, pound cake, cheesecake (they put a candle in it when they brought our plate out), strawberries, bananas, and graham and oreo crusted marshmallows

And five minutes later!!! Brett isn't a real big fan of desserts (wish I had that gene) and he even said it was wonderful!

Before dinner, Brett surprised me with this Swarvoski cocktail ring! It matched my dress perfectly! I like that it's chunky and really trendy right now.

Last, but not least, I'm in New York- not really! I always sing the Alicia Keys and Jay Z song in my head when I talk about this! ha We are planning to go to New York this fall as part of our anniversary if everything pans out. I've wanted to go to New York for longest time and Brett suggested we finally do it! I can't wait!!!

Here's to many, many more years with Brett, Hunter, and Brody!!!

Pool Time :)

As we continue on our vacation posts, not only did we enjoy the beach, we enjoyed all of the pools as well! Our condo had plenty of things for the kids to do (three baby pools, sand areas, lazy river) and our view was absolutely beautiful!

Views of the pool area and beach from our balcony! I wish we were still there!

The three boys! Hunter and Kase were helping Brody out with his water hippo!

Brody buzzing around in his bee float! It was nap time-can you tell?!?! Hunter gave him a kiss and said, "All better!" It was a sweet moment!

Catching a wave on his boogie board! Brett and Hunter did this for over an hour!

Back to the pool after lunch! Hunter was full of love for his brother!

What a sweet baby!!! Can you believe he will be nine months old this Friday? It's also mine and Brett's five year anniversary!!

Oh, how I would give anything to be back there! There's just something wonderful about being at the beach!

Myrtle Beach 2011

We just got back from vacation and we had a great time! We didn't want to leave and even considered staying an extra day!! It's so hard to leave the beach, especially when the boys were having so much fun! I have a ton of pictures so be prepared for multiple beach posts! Here are a few from our first day! Brody's first time in the ocean! He didn't know what to think about it at first, but it eventually grew on him.

My three boys! Hunter had so much fun! Put it this way, he played in the ocean more on the first day then he did last year all together!

His face says it all in this picture! He had a great time playing in the ocean, collecting seashells, and looking at the jellies! Some jellyfish washed up and he kept saying "jellies" like Crush from finding Nemo!

He just couldn't get enough! He jumped waves forever and would run and run and run!

Brody's first taste of sand! He consumed quite a bit of it, even though we tried to stop him! I'm sure the grit of it felt good on his gums!

What a mess! He didn't mind his sand beard at all! :)

Like I said, this is a very short preview of what I have to come as far as pictures! I just wanted to do a quick update for now!

I hope everyone is having a great summer and staying cool! With the heat index, it feels like 105 today-yuck! Wish we had the beach to jump into with this weather! :)
