Baby Spradlen is on the way! I went to the doctor on March 15th for my pregnancy confirmation appointment. I had an ultrasound and to be honest, I had a moment of panic. I couldn't see anything when it began and I kept thinking, where is the baby?! Finally, I saw the heart fluttering and felt ten times better. The heart rate was 145, which according to the Old Wives Tales, is a GIRL! Then on Friday I met with my new doctor- the doctor that delivered Hunter moved. She is wonderful and I know I will like her just as much!
The small dot is the nutrient's ring for the baby and the "blob" to the right of it is the baby! This was taken when I was seven weeks, two days! Now you can see why I was a little nervous at this appointment because of the ultrasound below of Hunter!
What a difference two weeks make in a baby! This is the same appointment I had with Hunter at nine weeks. You can actually see the nutrients ring and a baby!
Right now baby Spradlen is no bigger than a grain of rice and most of the internal organs-lungs, liver, kidneys, and intestines- are in place, but they are not yet fully formed and they do not yet function fully. This is the most important month for the baby's growth!
I have been exhausted which is hard with a two-year old running around and am constantly nauseated. No morning sickness so far though- knock on wood. I am ready to have my energy back, so bring on my second trimester! We are so thrilled to be adding to our family and that Hunter is going to be a big brother! We are blessed and pray to be blessed with a healthy baby!
I love your blog! I am so excited about baby Spradlen joining our family and this will be another fun way to keep up with you all. It will be so wonderful to be grandma X2. Love you. xoxox
